Back to School Dance

Tomorrow after school there is a Back to School Dance. In PAWS I got to choose music for the dance tomorrow night. Mr. M said to write down music for the dance and the music has to be school appropriate. So we took a piece of paper and wrote down songs that we would like to listen to at the dance. After we find songs for the dance, we give the paper to Mr. M the paper and after school he would search up the songs and listen to them to see if there was anything bad in them. After he finished that he would highlight the ones that he already downloaded for the dance or that were school appropriate. So far we have a lot of songs but we need more to last the whole 2 hours of the dance. I hope that we find more songs for the dance today.

Miss-Fired Shot

When Cupid was looking for some to shoot with his bow and arrow, he kinda mis-fired when aiming for that special person. When he went to aim he had it right where he wanted the arrow to go, but someone step in the way of his shot right when he fired the arrow. When the arrow got to its destination, the arrow hit the person he didn't want to hit the first time. After he realized what went wrong, he flew to the nearest building and sat there thinking about what he just did. Was he going to get in trouble for this, was he going to lose his job for hitting the wrong person once, was he going to be banded from the use of his bow and arrows for love and other uses? Only time will tell...

"Streisand Effect"

The "Streisand Effect" was an outbreak that caused a global sensation for Barbra Streisand. What happened? Well some photographers took pictures of her house. After she found the pictures, she said that those photographs were not of her house. People began to dig into this outbreak to find out if it really was her house or not. So, they began to follow her to her house to find out if it was her house or someone else that is famous. The pictures turned out to be her house. The photographers kept saying she was lying, which she was so that paparazzi wouldn't show up at her house and stalk her.

Measuring Tape

When I see this picture I think of when a woman is having a wedding and already has everything else set up but does not have a wedding dress. When she goes to find the dress of her dreams she is measured by a lady that measure her waist to find the right size that is comfortable and is able to fit her nicely. After the lady measures her, she goes and finds a dress that the bride would enjoy. She brings the dresses to her and ask her to try the ones she likes on in the dressing room. After she puts on the first dress she comes out and stands in front of the mirror. Any guestions the bride has about the dress if it can be resized to fit her more our it's just not her type, then she is free to ask those guestions. After the bride tries on the last dress she loves, there was a problem with the measurements. The dress was ok but the size around the waist of the dress was to big but the size was comfortable. So the lady took the dress to the back of the store and ordered a new dress that was the right size but enough room to make it comfortable for this bride.

My New Nikes

About a week ago I went to Taco Bell to go eat dinner with my mom and my sister. Then we needed to go to Dollar General to get some things for the house. Before we went into the store I asked my mom if we can go look in Famous Footwear and look to see what shoes they had. Me and my sister tried on Nikes. We love those brand of shoes because they are good to run in or just to wear and are really comfortable. We were getting ready to leave and my mom asked if we found a pair of shoes we liked and wanted. We both were confused because we thought we were just looking and not buying, but my momk said we could buy them today because there was a sale there. When we bought they shoes they had socks for buy one get one half off, so me and my sister chose one pack off socks each. Then we went to Dollar General and got our stuff and went home.

My Bottled Up Memory

A memory I would like to bottle up is when I first went to Florida. It was a fun time when I went. I would like to go back and relive it because of things I didn't do while I was down there. I could of went to every store in Disney World to look or even buy a souvenir from that store. I could of rode more roller coasters there but I'm afraid to. When we went to Clearwater, we went to see Winter the Dolphin. After we got back to the hotel we went to the beach. I could of relived the time I went to the beach and went and walked in the sand. I could of also went in the water and find seashells. But, I chose not to. And that is why I want to bottle up this memory and relive it any time I want to.

Getting My Tooth Pulled

 Yesterday I went to the dentist to get my molar pulled because it was in the way where my braces would go. The dentist took a cotton swab with numbing medicine on it and rubbed it around my tooth and on my cheek. After 3 minutes he took it out. After he took out the cotton swab out he gave me two shots. After that he took a chisel like tool and chiseled around my tooth to make it less painful and easier to pull out. Then he took another tool and grabbed a hold of my tooth and wiggled it and then pulled it and out came my tooth!

Labor Day

Labor Day was created on the first Monday of September. We celebrate Labor Day because of the people like in the army or in the marines that work for America. Labor Day is where America shows that we appreciate the men and women that work for America. Some people think it's to celebrate for everyone that works in America, but it's not for everyone, it's only for the people that accutally save us like army people. People believe that Peter McGuire created this holiday. Other people believe that Matthew Maguire created it as well. The people that said Matthew Maguire, are correct. Matthew Maguire is a machinist that created this holiday for the people who dedicate their lives to fight in the marines and army for America.
