If the continents were suddenly smashed together the daily routine for people would be a lot different because now there are two whole different continents that have came together so now people are probably going to start walking around every thing to see all the different things , everything will be clouded like streets to get to work, school, other peopled houses or your home. Just think now people are going to speak all theses different languages and do a lot of different things than you so in my opinion things will be really hard for everyone.

Super-size Taco
If I was able to super size an food item i would super size a taco because it would be cool because everyone else would super size like hamburgers or french fries tacos are better than those others anyway so now tacos are going to be super-sized .it would have like giant lettuces , meat , cheese and sour cream so ya and the shell would be like supper big to hold all the ingredients . Also the taco will be like even better than a taco from taco bell because bigger is better!

Kid Nation Episode 7
Primary deviance was shown in this episode of kid nation when Divad decided that she wanted to be more than a "potato girl." This is an example of primary deviance because eventually when she decides that she has earned and saved enough money she will stop selling her potatoes and other products. She will most likely go for awhile longer, but she will eventually have so much money that she wont need to sell anything anymore. Most likely she will spend her money on things for herself or maybe things for the community. Then again maybe she will keep selling her products.
Secondary deviance was shown in this episode of kid nation when Nathan kept washing clothes while everyone else took a break and enjoyed the new items the town council had bought them with the money from the mine. Even when Lauriel told Nathan that he could take a break he told her that the clothes were far behind and needed to be done. Also when he tried to help out by hauling water even though that had already been done. I think that Nathan will always be the type of person who does everything very thoroughly and precisely. I think one of the main reasons he does this though is because it shows that he has earned his pay and also because he has a different home life than many.
Stigma is shown in this episode of kid nation when Greg was yelling at Nathan when he was trying to help. The label that may have been given to Greg is bully or jerk. This has a negative effect on him because this may cause people to not want to be friends with him. The people may think that if they are friends with Greg and make him mad that he will either yell at them or maybe even unfriend him. Without friends, people may just overlook all of Greg's hard work.

Free Blog Post
This weekend is going to be an amazing weekend. I am going to Kentucky with my dad and step mom this weekend. I am so excited because I get to go to a lake and going tubing and water skiing for the first time! Since this will be my first time water skiing and tubing I feel like I am going to either fly off the tube or face plant into the water. I am also afraid that I am going to get really sunburned. My dad, sister, and I leave on Saturday to go and meet the rest of my family at our camping site. I am pretty sure we are staying in a tent like true campers but then again we might be staying in my grandma and grandpa's r.v. Even though there might be some complications like being sunburned or falling on my face I think this weekend will be a entertaining and extravagant weekend.

Kid Nation Episode 6
Conformity is one thing that is shown in this episode because the new council members have to adjust to their new roles in society. They have to adjust to waking up earlier in the morning. This might be a little harder for them since they have been used to sleeping in later. Another thing they will have to get used to is the low respect the kids have for the council. Some of the kids have little respect for their leaders. Taylor is one of the main kids who have little respect for anyone. She is very displeased with hoe Zach replaced her in the City council.
Authority is also being shown in this episode of kid nation since there is a City Council. This is a socially approved use of power because when the town had a reelection only two of the council members were replaced. This in turn means that the other two council members are either doing a reasonable job or they are accomplishing good things for the town. By two members getting kicked off however means that the town did not approve of the job they were doing. The town members, Zach and Guylan, were doing a better job at providing and helping the town that they were the ones who replaced the main council members.
Cooperation is something else that is shown in this episode of kid nation when the city council asked town members to help take and bury the city trash away from the town. Most of the kids cooperated by helpimg pick up the trash and dumping it into the crates. Taylor and Lela were the only two kids who did not show any cooperation. They ran away from the group and went to hide in a room. In return of their selfish act they are going to be punished. By simply just helping and cooperating with the city council, they would have possibly been on better terms with the town members and the City Council.

What Bugs Me Post
Something that really bugs me is when people say that they hat when people lie to them, but then they become hypocritical and lie to others. This has happened to me so many times that it isn't even funny. My step mom and dad are the ones that have probably lied to me the most in my life. They say that they have nothing to hide and that they tell me everything, when honestly they don't. Sure they tell me things that I need to know. What they don't know is that I have found out so many things from my aunt that my parents should have told me, but they didn't. I really wish people would just tell me things instead of lying to my face. Sure there are some things that everyone should keep to themselves, but important family matters should be discussed with all of the family. This is just one example of something that bugs me, and there are many other things.

Yesterday was a very exciting day. After my mom picked me up from school we went to Wal-Mart. While on our way to the store, we were listening to the radio. The radio hosts were talking about Adam Levine's hair and how they despised of it. They said that if you didn't like it that you should give them a call. So like the totally dork that I am, I called not expecting an answer. Surprisingly they answered! We talked for like five minutes about how we thought that Adam Levine wasn't a good blond. Sadly they didn't mention me on the radio but I was happy I got to talk to someone famous. After we went to Wal-Mart, we went to Helping Hands for my sister. This is where my sister goes to ride horses. There we danced and I learned how to line dance. This is what happened yesterday after school.

Kid Nation 5
Groups are shown in this episode of kid nation. This is shown due to the fact that there are four different groups in Bonanza city. Each group has a different color and a different leader that represents each group. There are also other groups inside the main groups. There are groups of people who do lots of work and there are groups of people who don't do anything at all.
Conflict was shown in this episode of kid nation when the town had a reelection. There were members from each each group that opposed their leader's job. So, they were allowed to give a speech that persuaded the minds of the fellow town members. This was a really big example of conflict. It caused a ton of tension between the council members and just everyone in general.
In-group was shown in this episode when Taylor wanted everyone to vote for her instead of for Zach. She has pretty much persuaded all the girls in her group to vote for her. She has only persuaded the girls to vote for her because she thinks she is a queen and she doesn't want anyone else to be a leader. This isn't what a leader should do. So, in my opinion this is a very big example of in-group because none of the other groups hardly have this problem.

Kid Nation 4
When each group is assigned a certain job, that is an example of ascribed status. No one can chose what they want to do. They get whatever job they earn. You are ranked by what position you come in. Many don't agree with these rankings but since it is ascribed status it's not always fair.
Right was shown in this episode of kid nation when the kids got to choose whether all the religions came together. No one is being forced to listen to the other beliefs. When the meetings are held, you don't have to show up and listen to the others. Each individual religion has a right to believe what they want to believe. Since there are a couple different religions in this town, it can cause some major conflict.
Role was another thing that was shown in this episode of kid nation. This was sown when the upper class took control of the whole religion thing. You could tell that they were supposed to be in charge of everyone. They proved to be mature when they took the lead and decided to have a religious session. Even though no one showed up, it was still important that they took the lead.
When the council let the kids decide whether they wanted the holy books or the mini golf course, this was an example if obligation. The council could have just decided themselves, but they didn't. They made the decision of letting the kids vote so they could still feel like they were a community. This was a very appreciated obligation. This decision brought the kids and the council closer together.

Poorest President Blog Post
The point the president brings out in my opinion is very accurate and i do agree with it. He said that, "Poor people are those who only work to try to keep en expensive lifestyle, and always want more." I agree with this statement because if you are only working to provide wanted things for your family you are poor. Working shouldn't be about how much money you have to spend it should be about how much money you have to provide for your family. So by the president donating 90% of his salary to charity, he is showing that life isn't only about money it's about using your money for a good cause.

Over the weekend I had a lot of fun. On Saturday I was able to hang out with Alyssa and Katie. We went to the zoo. We saw many different animals and had a really good time. At one point in our trip Katie stepped on a ketchup packet and it exploded. It got all over my leg and shoe. It was pretty funny to be honest. After the zoo we took lots of car selfies. On Sunday, I went fishing. My whole family went to West City park. Unfortunately we didn't catch anything, but I did see a snake as it gracefully swam off the bank and into the water. Since there was little activity, I decided that I would try and tan. I think I was more burnt than tan, but oh well. Anyways, that was my weekend. I hope you had a good weekend too!

Kid Nation 3
In this episode of Kid Nation imitation stage was shown because Greg was using curse words. He was most likely imitating the behavior of his parents or other family members. This is not a positive example of imitation stage especially since there are little kids there. Some of the little kids come from strict homes and their parents don't appreciate those bad behaviors.
Looking-glass self is shown in this episode of Kid Nation as well. It is shown in this episode because Greg thinks that everyone treats him like dirt and that no one has any respect for him. He thinks that since others treat him badly that he has to be mean. He needs to realize that just because he doesn't get everything he wants he doesn't have to mouth off to the council or anyone else. If he was nicer and dealt with things maturely everyone would have more respect for him.
Total institution i thought was also shown in this episode. Total institution is shown because the whole town is cut off from any other civilization and that can be hard. The kids are put under the supervision of the City Council. The City Council is also partially under the control of the book that was left for them to follow. None of the kids are allowed to talk to any of their friends or family unless they win the gold star. Even then, though, they have to have permission.

Kid Nation
Society is shown in this Kid Nation episode because even though everyone wants to survive and eat some of the children who don't want to eat meat are against killing the chickens. A majority of the kids on the other hand want to kill the chickens. This is was a problem because the kids who didn't want to kill the chickens had to kill them anyways. In the end though the chickens were killed and the kids had to get through it.
Drives are shown in this episode of Kid Nation because when it comes down to eating it takes a lot of food to feed everyone. To help feed people, the council wanted to kill some of their chickens. This would have been a great source of protein for all of the kids. This shows a drive to keep the kids healthy and eating. Without this drive the kids wouldn't have the proper nutrition.
Formal Sanctions is shown in this episode of Kid Nation because if the kids were to have finished the show-down in an hour they would have been given the chance to go on the heated water slide and more water pumps. This is an example of formal sanction also because the kids don't have to receive anything. They could have just done the showdown and went back to the city. Instead, they were given the chance to receive a reward. To me it was a good choice to give them a goal to work towards.

Technology Free Post
In this blog post I will write about drama. Drama is a serious thing. I have had a lot of drama in my life. It isn't a fun situation. Some drama situations are more serious than others, but all drama in my opinion is stupid. No one should have to cope with any drama or they should avoid it as much as they can. Drama can cause you to lose some of your best friends. It can cause stress and it is just irrelevant. If you do become ensnared in drama you should always try to work out the situation and try not to make the problem even worse. Making the problem worse can cause others to become entangled in your drama. So, in conclusion you shouldn't get involved in drama.

I Trying To Be A Leader
Power is shown in the episode I'm Trying To Be A Leader. Power is shown in this episode because the kids are being governed by other kids. There are four kids that make up the City Council. The City Council is in charge of everything and everyone. This is a hard task especially since they are only kids.
Class conflict is shown in the episode I'm Trying To Be A Leader. Class conflict is shown in this episode because the kids are coming into conflict with the City Council. The City Council is having a hard time keeping themselves and everyone else organized. In the end, someone will step up and take control. There will still be class conflict because the stress will be very large.
Symbols are shown in the episode I'm Trying To Be A Leader. Symbols are shown in this episode because there are four different districts. Each district is represented by a different color. The colors that represent each group are red, blue, green, and yellow. Each group is also assigned a different job. There is the upper class, the merchants, the cooks, and the laborers. This is a symbol for government.

Mrs. Debolt's Friendly Letter
1717 West Main St.
Festus, MO 63028
April 1, 2014
Dear Mrs. Debolt,
My favorite movie is Divergent. This is my favorite movie because there was lots of action and suspense but just enough romance to balance out. The books that inspired this movie were even better than the movie, in my opinion. If you haven't read the books or seen the movie i suggest you do. I also suggest though that you see the movie first because the books are way more in-depth. In my spare time i like to read and listen to music. I am currently reading the book The Fault In Our Stars. I also like to go outdoors in my free time. Fishing and hunting are my favorite activities.
The coolest thing about me is that I play the clarinet. Even though that really isn't that cool, I love being able to play new songs unheard to many people. The clarinet is a pretty tricky instrument to play but since i have quite a bit of free time I have learned to play quite well. Ever since i started band in sixth grade, I have always wanted to learn how to play other instruments. The flute, saxophone, and piano are three instruments that i would love to learn how to play. I just love the sound of all three instruments, including my own, and the challenges the produce.
I am very inexperienced with computers. I have never been very good with computers because, to be honest, it confuses me. I do however know most of the basics. I can type essays and complete projects, and can get around pretty easily but there is still so much more I could learn. In this class, I would personally like to learn more about the more advanced settings of the computer. Being able to show others what i have learned in this class would be an achievement for me.

Violent Video Games
In my opinion, video games do make kids more violent because the bad habits from the video games are still impressed in the children's minds. They may not know that they are being violent because it is just natural behavior to them. On the other hand, children could also believe that since they allow violence in the video games it must not be bad to be violent in real life. So, children may think that it is okay to get into fights and to harass others when really it isn't. This behavior isn't acceptable. This is why i believe that video games do make kids more violent.

Kid Nation
Children are going to be acting like pioneers and build a city and learn what it was like back then. There are forty kids no adults or children just themselves. The council which is four kids give away gold stars to the kid who is fitting in and surviving the best. The stars are worth 20,000 dollars. On the first day They had to hike with wagons full of there bags and supplies for two miles to there camp. The rooms they are staying in are small and they have to sleep on thin mat like beds. There first attempt to make a meal went bad and they ended up wasting a ton of pasta noodles. But they eventually cooked something right after finding a recipe book. On the first day some children and council leaders have already threw a fit and want to go home. On the second day they kids stared arguing really bad about the food situation and the council tried to stop it and fights stared. One of the kids named Michael stood up when every one was fighting and gave a speech of why everyone is here and that they need to show the world that kids can survive without help from adults. Someone on the blue team wrote blue all over the town and the council is trying to find out who did it. The blue team ran around yelling blue in everyone's ears and writing blue everywhere right after the other teams washed it off right before the showdown. In the showdown the red team won upper class, the blue won merchandise, the yellow won cooks and the green won labors. They get too chose between two prizes seven outhouses or a TV. The council chose the outhouses because they only have one for all forty kids to use. One of the girls wanted a bike that was for sale but didn't have enough money. She danced for nickels and ended up buying the bike. Sophia won the first golden star that is worth 20,000 she gets to call her parents and tell them the good news. Everyone wants to work harder to win a gold star at the next town hall meeting. I think that this episode of Kid Nation was funny because this film is seven years old and the kids are probably looking back and seeing how crazy they acted.

Unique candle jar
I saw this craft idea where you make a cool candle jar. Step one you take a Mason jar and tape yarn around it in a pattern. Step two you can put heart shaped easy peel off stickers on it too. step three you paint the jar your favorite color. Step four if you want to put glitter on the jar put it on while the paints still wet so that the glitter sticks. Step five take off the yarn and stickers. Step six put a candle inside and light it. That's how you make a unique candle jar! They have ton of cool ideas like this one on Pinterest.

The seventh door
I saw seven identical doors, I chose to go in the seventh door because that is my favorite number. When I went through the seventh door I ended up in Never land. It had beautiful sights and tall trees. I heard a click clock click clock noise coming from the ocean so I walked towards the sound. I saw a weird pirate swimming away from an alligator. I started to run and bumped into a girl her name was Wendy. She took me to her friends tree house Peter pan. He told me he could fly me home tomorrow right after I wake up.

Verrückt water slide.
This paragraph is about a waterslide that is taller than Niagara Falls! this water slide was made by Jeff Henry who is trying to beat the world record of tallest water slides. The name of this water slide is Verrückt. If you where to ride the Verrückt you would have to walk up a total of 264-steps that take you to the top. Once your on the top you and two other people will get on a four seated raft and once everyone's seated you will be set loose down the water slide. It is coming out on Memorial Day Weekend, in Kansas city where it was built!
- "Not it" I yelled while hurtling down the hill.
- My sister said she is going to illuminate me with fashion.
- My dad welded a sword and gave it to my grandpa.
- my brother says "radical dude" a lot.
- I was mulling over this idea I thought of last night.
- In perspective everything looks okay expect for the cake stand.
- I propelled my brother to clean his room.
- "What an extensive knowledge you have." said bob
- my dad surpassed my sister in cooking.

Tiny windmills
This paragraph is about tiny 1.8 mm windmills that can power devices and one day may even power a whole house. Almost a thousand tiny windmills can fit inside a cellphone case! This little windmill can stand heavy winds because it is using nickel alloy. These windmills are almost always blowing wind. The creator of the tiny windmill was Jung-Chin Chiao with help from his assistant Smitha Rao. Chiao thought of this idea when he wanted to use a windmill to power his devices with out using a big wind turbine. Researches state that almost one hundred tiny windmills could be enough to charge a phone for an emergency. Chiao and his assistant are already talking to a big company about putting the windmills in stores.
- My mom told me to turn on the turbine because she was hot.
- For my birthday my sister made me a wafer cake.
- my brother bought me a prototype of the Statue of Liberty
- At the petting zoo I saw a man harnessing a horse
- My mom said my stereo battery was durable.
- "How can you withstand the cold?" asked my brother.
- my teacher told me I need to have an arduous effort.
- My brother said it was impossible to count all the microns in an object.
- I was brainstorming for what I should have for dinner and thought of nothing.
